Abstract

The aim of this paper was to show the main contributions of the Russian didactician Mikhail A. Danilov (1899-1973) for the consolidation of the Didactic as an independent science. These contributions are shown as the ones that are considered the main nucleus of the categories that can define the Scientific Didactic: philosophical fundamentals, concept, object, laws, scientific principles and tasks of this science. The theoretical referential has been the Materialistic Dialectic and the Developmental Didactic. The methodological proceedings were the critical analysis of the author publications: the contextualization of his thinking with the philosophical sources, as well as publications of other didacticians concerned about the same questions. The result was a new synthesis of the didactic thinking of M.A. Danilov, mixed by other sources and authors. The paper shows the main categories of the Didactic science, becoming a tool for the didactic-pedagogical formation of students and teachers at work.

Keywords: epistemological foundations, didactic science, didactic categories, Mikhail A. Danilov.
