Abstract

From the survey and the study of thesis and dissertations published in the last fifteen years, we tried to identify the effects of the National Program of Educational Technologies in Brazilian schools. The concept of social justice (Ball in Mainardes and Marcondes, 2009) and the design of technology as an instrument of power and domination of developed nations over the other (Vieira Pinto, 2005) were taken as reference. It was found that the education in technology programs in Brazil still does not have concrete results in relation to social inclusion in Brazilian public schools due to physical and structural conditions, difficult access to equipment and, especially, insufficient or inadequate teachers training on the use of digital technology resources, which leads them to favor the instructional character of such equipment and software and do not explore their cognitive and pedagogical potential.
