This study aims to approach female education by the means of speeches published in a young Lutheran religious magazine called O Jovem Luterano as well as in a cultural magazine called O Cruzeiro. Taking into account the specific features of these journals, the perspective embraced was to explore moralised, normative and prescriptive discourses related to female behaviour and the social role women are assigned to. The timeline focus on the issues between the years of 1950 and 1960, when a further spread of speeches regarding to orientate domestic and social experiences of young and adult women could be observed; speeches which aimed to mark, thus, the social and biological function of a woman as a wife, a mother and a housekeeper. Such discourses reveal several ways of education processes in the sense of regular education as much as in terms of the female role to develop female ways to think and act within society.
