The Alternative Law was a movement of transformation in the Brazilian legal system, approaching to people’s necessities. This movement created new forms of inclusion of popular rights in the judiciary agenda and others instances of Brazilian State. However, the problems faced by different Latin American communities derive from more serious issues: the capitalist system. The awareness of this factor will guide the thoughts on the conquests and limits of Alternative Law Movement.
