Abstract

This article aims at understanding the circulation and appropriation of the personalized and communitarian pedagogy in Brazil from 1959 to the end of the 1960s. Initially, it summarizes this educational proposal conceived by Pierre Faure, a French Jesuit priest who amalgamated the New School movement and the Catholic pedagogical tradition. The focus is placed on the circulation and appropriation of personalized and community pedagogy, seeking to verify its Catholic and Franco-Brazilian circuit through different strategies and to check its use in Catholic schools through didactic resources that personalized the work of the students and encouraged its socialization. We seek to study Faurian pedagogy in movement in Brazilian education using scientific articles, books and technical reports in Portuguese and in French as sources.

Keywords: personalized and communitarian pedagogy, circulation.
