This article proposes an analysis on the epistemological structure of the contents of history textbooks (social movements) approved by the National Plan of the Textbook of 2010 starting from the theoretical-methodological perspective drawn by the German historian and philosopher Jörn Rüsen, when he discusses the possibility of the production of a textbook of ideal history. The research is linked to the studies accomplished in the Program of Master Degree in Education of the State University of the Center-West, whose investigations worry about the relationships between epistemology of history and teaching of history in elementary school. The results show the potentiality of the historical narratives of textbooks for the research field in the teaching of history, as well as indicate the relevance of those didactic materials in the process of teaching-learning of history.
