The conception of ethics in the popular education and Paulo Freire’s ideas

This article is focused ona theoretical review about ethics in Popular Education, with emphasis on Paulo Freire’s work. The purpose is to discuss the Freirean conception of ethics based on four inter-related themes: the universal ethics of the human being, the ethis of conscientização and of liberation, the ethics of dialogue and autonomy, and the ethics of teaching and teacher training. The development of this study demonstrated Freire’s ethical, political and pedagogical commitment with humanity through his work as an educator, writer, and, above all, as a human being committed with the dream of creating a better world, i.e, a world with more justice and solidarity.
