Abstract: The reviewed work, Hacia una escuela para lo común: debates, luchas y propuestas en América Latina y España, is a collection composed of eight chapters written by educational researchers interested in the subject and, organized by the editors Jordi Collet Sabé and Silvia Grinberg and, is available in Spanish. In an innovative way, they invite researchers to think about a school focused on the common, a school that recovers democratic principles and shared life for the collective good. To this end, they put the following key question as a central question: What school do we have and what school do we want? It is important to highlight that this form of organization of the work characterizes it not only as a compilation of articles, but as an exercise in dialogue between the organizers and the other authors, who among their perspectives turned to think about this questioning in the domains of the concept of common.
Keywords: school; common; individualization.
