Abstract

This work aims to address and contribute to the understanding of the role played by interdisciplinarity at the beginning of the teacher training, taking as a starting point the Portuguese experience(s) and seeking the understanding of the difficulties encountered in its implementation. To accomplish this, the work starts from the analysis of the norms of teacher training and the theoretical frameworks related to the concept of interdisciplinarity towards the analysis of disciplinary reorganization, particularly with regard to Science Education. It ends with future perspectives on the urgency of an integral ecology in the teachers’ training through the analysis of the influence of the technocratic paradigm that make the realization of an interdisciplinary perspective difficult.
