The objective of this article is to present the concept of a theoretical model of the genre as one of the stages of didactic modeling systematized by researchers from Geneva affiliated to Sociodiscursive Interactionism (SDI) and to bring up a synthesis of the theoretical model of the genre movie review’. The modeling steps include: the literature search in order to explore some aspects of the broader context of the genre production; the selection of a textual corpus; a description of the genre based on the corpus analyses, having the organizational and enunciative levels that systematize the SDI textual analysis framework as parameter. The theoretical modeling exposed reveals the discursive complexity of movie reviews and provides the basis for the development of different didactic models of the genre.
