The article aims to examine the influences of literature on justice, the judges and the judicial proceeding itself, giving particular attention to the distinction between private justice and official justice. We intend to propose a framework of analysis of the heart of international literature, which will make it possible, at the same time, to illustrate, to highlight and to subvert. If it is true that works of fiction provide some evidence of this or that iconic figure of the work, they also offer an infinite range of situations that will then render complex the theoretical exchanges, which are always very restrictive. In conclusion, we intend to establish a relationship between justice, revenge and forgiveness with those symbols commonly associated with the work of justice: the sword, the balance and the band.
Keywords: law and literature, juridical interpretation, judicial decision.
