The objective is to analyze the concept of Ideological Companies under the bias of employment relationship, and what are the legal consequences arising from the application of the concept within a relationship of this nature. The concept, derived from a European jurisprudential creation, comprises those organizations that have been created with the aim of externalizing a widely recognized ideology of the world, such as religious organizations, political parties and trade unions. The application of the concept within an employment relationship is intended to ensure that any conduct practiced by certain employees does not put at risk the credibility and good image of that organization to the society. This is because, depending on the position that she/he occupies, an employee starts to represent the organization itself, in such a way that there is an interweaving between hers/his private life and hers/his working life. In view of this, the employer’s field of activity tends to be greater than in conventional employment relationships, being allowed to engender in the private life of certain employees and impose behavior patterns that resemble the ideology preached by the employing organization. The study provides an overview of the subject, whose studies in Brazil are still very incipient, which is why it was chosen to use the descriptive method.
Keywords: ideological company, employment relationship, labor law, private life, confessional organization.
