Human dignity and biological citizenship in the process of obtaining the Informed Consent

Abstract

Since the Informed Consent required for all research involving human subjects, especially in biotechnology research, is actually a process that requires the sharing of information, activities and decisions on the basis of unpredictable events, review of medical procedures, involvement of families, research institutions, support groups and businesses, it is necessary to examine it in the light of human rights, especially under the auspices of the principle of human dignity, to be able to effectively evaluate its manifestation and infl uence, and so that all fundamental rights of the subjects of research are respected and preserved.
