Abstract
This article intends to evaluate how the relation between the State and the popular forms of art were reconfigurated by the censorship. In order to do this, we will analyze the censorship in the play O Retrato de Luciano. We will demonstrate how the search for the monopoly of the legitimate symbolic violence worked inside a new system of relationship inaugurated in the decade of thirty.Downloads
