Abstract

Chinese economic dynamism is an outstanding phenomenon in the current world conjuncture, translating into high growth rates of the product, trade performance allowing huge commercial balances, and foreign investments which increase and consolidate the presence of China in several countries. These aspects give grounds for worries almost everywhere, mainly due to the competitive strength of Chinese producers, with its consequences. The article looks at this subject arguing that, if China’s rise is challenging, cooperative relations reflecting mutual interests and meaning benefits to all partners involved can spring from the world projection of the Chinese economy. In this way, the study focuses on the interactions developed between a Brazilian producer of electronic goods and its suppliers working in China. The analysis is based on field research, the results of which permit description of the procedures undertaken in these relations, and examination of some of their outcomes.

Keywords: Chinese dynamism, cooperative interactions, Brazilian electronics.
