The agenda-setting according to the sources of the journalistic field: observing actions of the social-environmental movement
Abstract
This paper discusses the interaction between players of the journalistic field and of the social-environmental movement. It is based on the theory of social fields, on cultural studies and journalism theories. It is a theoretical-empirical study of the interaction between news producers and the players of the social-environmental movement in their role as sources. It is observed how they set the agendas for the journalistic field using the strategic knowledge of their activities, especially the criteria of what can become news used by journalists.
