The article presents the possibility to examine songs as manifestations of the non-hermeneutic field and demonstrates how the songs’ constitutive elements offer types of experiences. Through an investigation of the post-modern aesthetics, the article proposes the musical performance as main object of study as well as the poetics of musical genres. It concludes that the study of the experience of songs would be much improved by the incorporation of the studies of Hans-Ulrich Gumbrecht and Friedrich Kittler about communication materiality.
Key words: songs, non-hermeneutic field, performance.Downloads
