CCXP and the mythic-mediatic memorialistic ambiences
Abstract
If all things in our world have a sacred potential, if only a special condition is attributed to them, we could infer that by the action of a media hierophanization, any media products linked to fan culture (films, cartoons, games, etc. ninai) are one step away from inciting devotional practices equally. Under the light of the concepts of myth by Mircea Eliade (1972, 1979, 1992, 2008), Olympism by Edgar Morin (1997), ambience by Baudrillard (1973), semiosphere by Lótman (1996) and theories of communication, consumption and memory, the work aims to investigate how some mythic-mediatic memorialistic ambiences of the event known as CCXP, which combine infinite narratives, reflecting and refracting the devotion of fans and fandoms, contribute to the establishment of a neo-religiosity specifically linked to fan culture.
