The present study was undertaken to investigate the influence of the raw materials hardness and process temperature on deformation behavior of rolled cooper flat wires. Several samples were laminated using different combinations of the parameters above mentioned in order to evaluate the deformation behavior. Deformation was evaluated by calculation of axial and radial deformation relationship (Anisotropy parameter), additionally mechanical and metallographic characterization of the experimental samples and raw materials were realized. The results indicated significant influence of the raw material hardness and rolling temperature on the copper deformation behavior, showing increases in Anisotropy parameter with decrease in hardness and increase in rolling temperature.
