Abstract

The article discusses the understanding of associative work as one of the forms of active reaction in the present context of the restructuring of capitalism. The experience of associative work enables the emergence of educational dynamics that construct new forms of knowledge, which are mixed with the inherited knowledge that the workers had before they joined the Association of Recyclers of Dois Irmãos. After briefly describing the history and the characteristics of the undertaking, the authors try to go beyond the systematization of experience through a theoretical elaboration. They focus on knowledge related to the process of self-management, associative work and the environment. The authors of reference make it possible to value some categories that are rooted in the material dimension of life, in a dialectical relation with human subjectivity.

Key words: self-management, associative work, knowledge from experience.
