Municipalization of elementary education and the valuing of teachers

Abstract

This paper presents data from a research project that evaluated and discussed the present working conditions of 1st to 4th grade elementary school teachers in cities of the state of São Paulo that municipalized elementary education after the implementation of the Fund for the Maintenance and Development of Elementary Education and Valuing of Teachers.
