The cities and their (lack of) encounters. For an education that poetizes existence and theatricalizes life
Abstract
This article proposes a reflection on education on the basis of an analysis of our contemporary time. For that purpose, it starts from the anonymous images of cities, the indifference of looks, the solitude. The cities are labyrinths in which we get lost, as they don’t make encounters possible. We wonder about the meaning of life together and whether this is really possible. Education is pervaded by and committed to the issues and questions raised by ethics, which point to the urgency to think an esthetics of existence that places life above everything.
Key words: life, exclusion, ethics, education, encounter, city.Downloads
