Abstract

In 1963, Michel Foucault stated that, in the 19th century, Medicine began to be organized more around normality than around health. Sharing the same rationality, the school is seen more as a space for knowing about individuals and learning than for teaching and constituting subjectivities. Despite the theoretical differences and militancy that guide the school, with more or less intensity, what also seems to be at stake is the reduction or lack of strategic understanding of its role. With the crisis epistemologically embedded in school experiences, normality and the fear of lack of control seem to constitute an expressive part of the concerns of our time.
