The astuteness of the subject and the displacements of meanings
Abstract
This article intends to be inserted in the collection of the discussions about the subject, while focusing the enunciating mechanisms that allow to think of the subjecting processes in/of language. We consider that the way through which the subject is inserted in language discloses positions, which cause different effects in meanings. To do so, we analyzed the text “Se eu fosse eu”, by Clarice Lispector, the enunciation process of which clearly shows different ways of insertion of the self in the linguistic materiality and, consequently, calls in several meanings. From the theoretical point of view, this analysis implicitly aims to present analysis possibilities of linguistic materiality, articulating thoughts, sometimes seen as dissonant, as per Bakhtin’s, Benveniste’s and Pêcheux’s ideas. In this sense, I am keen on checking how these ideas allow analyses which, instead of being excluding, get complemented whilst clearly showing the slipping of the meanings as from a point of anchorage (reading gestures) assumed by the analyst.
Keywords: linguistic materiality, subject, meaning.
