The research proposal is structured in the characterization and investigation of the built space of the Centers of Early Childhood Education (CECE), using as parameters of analysis of the quality of its infrastructure, the one established by PROINFANCIA. In order to classify the quality of the infrastructure of the CECE, as well as the choice of priorities of interventions and adjustments to reach a pre-established standard, the methodological model of the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP), along with the resources of the Geographic Information System (GIS) were used. Therefore, the research mapped the spatial distribution of CECE and its concentration in the Municipality of Camboriú (Brazil), as well as its efficiency/quality behaviour compared to that defined by PROINFANCIA. In this sense, quality indicators were built through the AHP method, with the final product being a classification of the current situation of the CECE infrastructure, signalling from a technical evaluation, which units should be fully resized, the units suitable with minor adjustments and ones serving the citizens efficiently. The final product shows the condition of each CECE and its spatial distribution, allowing the decision maker to act in a systematic and optimized way, based on technical efficiency.
