“The confession of the witch”: event and faciality in the Veja magazine

"The confession of the witch" was the title given by the magazine Veja that committee had the exclusive interview of former prosecutor Vera Lúcia Sant'Anna Gomes, who was accused of physically and verbally assaulting a child who wanted to adopt. Given the story, this article intends to analyze the movements produced by in print attempt to build a sense of event, demonstrating the same parallel as it practice exercise faciality, the prerogatives of Deleuze and Guattari (1996) to frame the characters in the case profiles defined in the backdrop of social and pragmatic perspectives on the popular imagination. This work will also be used the arguments of French writers Louis Quéré (1995, 2005) and Gilles Deleuze (2007) about the nature of the event, relating them to journalistic practice, understanding the strategies used to end case and make sense of what is paradoxical in nature.Downloads
