Experiências Temporais do Jornalismo na Cobertura de Guerras
Abstract
Structural changing of technological dimensions, such as live coverage, digitalization of contents and languages, and online communication, has transformed ways of journalistic media have covered war events. All of these features have introduced transformations in public experience of present time and in journalistic timeliness, in relation to perceptions of time in centuries ago. This paper aims to analyze two temporal increasing components of contemporary journalism: instantaneity and simultaneity. Wars are the most perverse and ancient form of human struggle; in the same way, they offer several ethical, technical and conceptual challenges for journalistic institutions.Issue
