Abstract

This text explores the discussion of the media in the context of the city everyday life, as constitutive of time and space sense. Establishing the difference between analogical and digital media, it is explored how each medium, specifically, organizes the public dimension in the “urbe” context. Different than the public space of the city, the media reorganize the public dimension indoors, in the homes, at least in the very first moment, until they are able to reorganize it in the so-called virtual space of the cyberspace, with other kinds of time and space references.
