Abstract

This article has as presupposition that risk is a central concept in the society contemporary and to intend exactly to argue the paper of the risk in the making of economy news. This purpose takes them to one main question: how it worries with the risk puts into motion and guide the economic journalism? The articulation between the concept of risk, the economic system and the media is developed with theoreticals references – principally of the reflections of authors as Ulrich Beck (1992), Niklas Luhmann (1993), Peter Bernstein (1997), Paulo Vaz (1999) e Mary Jane P. Spink (2001; 2002) and too of the results of research in the two periodicals editions of the greater circulation in the country: Folha de S. Paulo e O Globo.
