Abstract
Characteristics of interpersonal relationship nowadays: a study about Orkut. This article aims to present a part of an explanatory study of the Orkut web site of relationship (www.orkut.com). The Orkut is a computational tool for communication and interpersonal interaction, which naturally has appeared as a fruit of this time. Also, this one has had a surprising acceptance here in Brazil. In this sense, its analysis suggests to be a relevant issue to clarify the social and the cultural questions that arise in the current time, specially in Brazil. From the Orkut web site, it has been analyzed by us some characteristics of the interpersonal relations inherent to this contemporary culture, which has been distinguished by the fragmentation and the superficiality. David Lyon, Guy Dedorb, André Lemos and Michel Maffesoli have been some of the authors in whose ideas this work has been based.Issue
