Flows as a problem: A methodological approach to caracterize flows of news and informations

Abstract

In a context of production and circulation of news in digital networks, news agencies are now facing an horizon with multiplicity of news sources and information such as internet and news channels by satellite TV. A few years ago, this was almost an exclusive domain of agencies. In a parallel with this framework, news agencies are constantly working to run and keep a continuous flow of news in a regular and stable dynamics, in order to keep its operation steady as a business model. This paper addresses an approach of news agencies flow of news, creating categories, typology and methodological procedures for analysis of news circulation in a more diverse and complex scenario of news circulation.
