Based on concepts of standard language and normative uses of language and based on the verification of open space in the media for the appearance of columns of "hints" of the Portuguese language, this article discusses the representation of the text reviewer in a series of fifteen Eduardo Almeida Reis´ chronicles, published from 2005 to 2007, in the Estado de Minas newspaper, mostly published in the sports section. Only texts in which the person of the reviewer was mentioned were selected for analysis. We also discuss the representations of the reader in this chronicles. This article intends to contribute to the study of editing and it also intends to discuss and combat some normative representation of the reviewer, found in common sense and even in scholars who study the theme.Downloads
