Economic-social formation, urbanization and the occupation in personal and domiciliary services in Brazil
Abstract
This paper has for objective to reflect concerning some aspects about the appearance of innumerable occupations in personal services, to the long one of the process of economic-social and urban formation in Brazil, from one brief bibliographical revision concerning the development of the cities in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, for, later, to consider an alternative typology that it incorporates the considered activities as "Personal and Domiciliary Services” - SPD, in the direction of speculating concerning the recent transformations, on the basis of the analysis of the profile (sex, position in the occupation, age, etc.) of the workers that compose this segment to the long one of the period understood between 1992 and 2001, from the PNAD.
