Abstract

This article aims to incorporate the theme of the commons goods in the debate on the social and solidarity economy. Although the reflection on the commons has developed an analysis and investigation more focused on resources and spaces related to environmental issues, it has been recently used in areas relating to the space and digital resources and connected with the tradition of cooperatives and social economy. This contribution, made from a European perspective, is intended as an introduction that presents and problematizes the concept as far as possible, so it that can be useful in the field of social economy. On the other hand, inevitably, reflection is marked by the bias of someone who develops his work basically in the European context and new forms of social mobilization and citizenship that are happening as a response to the economic crisis and the change of time.

Key words: democracy, common goods, social economy, technological change, social change, internet and the commons.
