Abstract

Como todos sabem, a presente crise mundial teve origem no estouro duma bolha imobiliária nos Estados Unidos. A bolha foi provocada pela provisão competitiva de crédito a cada vez mais compradores de habitações, gerando uma demanda em contínuo aumento por imóveis, cujos preços não cessaram de subir durante cinco anos. A alta dos preços dos imóveis realimentava a bolha, fazendo com que os seus efeitos afetassem o conjunto da economia.
