Medievalism in Brazil
Abstract
In recent decades medieval studies in Brazil witnessed a substantial momentum. Even the audience, that is not necessarily academic, shows interest in researches acquired by these studies. But the crucial question still floats, even in the academy: Why study Medieval Age in Brazil? Without the answer to this question, we must ask ourselves about the effective relevance of the increase in medieval studies in our country. We present here, then, a discussion on this issue.
