Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze a set of documents which express debates andinterventions of the Catholic Church in Chilean politics in the late 1960s. I will addresssuch analysis from a political and intellectual history perspective. To do so, I work withthe lay movement critics to the decision making processes available at the institution,as well as with the Pastoral Charter and its reactions.
