Between the activist body and the libertarian body: The vanguards of the 1960’s as signs of Brazilian post-modernity
Abstract
This article, breaking with the historicist notion of the evolutionary line of Brazilian culture and, at the same time, reflecting about the existential disturbance provoked by the “technological wonders” on the urban vanguards in the ’1960s, sees that period as a moment of the emergence of Brazilian post-modernity and situates those vanguards in the context of an explosion of new languages that tried to capture and name the new world.
Key words: vanguards, ’1960s, History.Downloads
