Abstract

Este debate é a versão escrita, revista e corrigida pelos autores das entrevistas difundidas pela rádio France Culture nos dias 3 e 4 de fevereiro de 1988, no programa A voix nue, consagrado Pierre Bourdieu. Roger Chartier é diretor de Estudos na Escola de Altos Estudos em Ciências Sociais (EHESS); historiador da educação e da impressão, se interessa pelas práticas culturais do Antigo Regime; ele é sobretudo o autor de Lectures et lecteurs de la France de l’Ancien Régime (Paris, Seuil, 1987) e publicou Les usages de l’imprimé (Paris, Fayard, 1987), assim como o terceiro volume da História da Vida Privada. Pierre Bourdieu é professor no Collège de France; ele acaba de publicar La noblesse d’Etat (Paris, Minuit, 1989).
