História Unisinos journal: Balance of the quadrennium 2013-2016, challenges and perspectives

Abstract

The text presents a balance of the História Unisinos for the quadrennium 2013-2016, in order to establish a diagnosis of the situation of the Journal in the period. Among the constructed data, we can list: number of published manuscripts and their provenance; institutional links of authors; average times of submission, acceptance and publication, and index of endogeny. Along with this survey, relevant information is brought to cover the recent changes in its editorial policy, in view of the current challenges posed by the scientific publication system in the country, as well as compliance with the guidelines established by the History department of CAPES in last years. The purpose of this article is to contribute to the debate about the conditions of production and, mainly, the conditions of circulation of scientific knowledge in the disciplinary field of History, seeking to offer subsidies for the construction of future specific policies.
