This paper aims at examining the possibilities of emancipation of individuals constantly subjugated by child domestic labour (CDL). We will study specifically how adolescents affected by this social and political issue in the Marajó Island (PA) use media practices to establish themes for their situation, while reconfiguring it from their own experiences, in a political subjetification process. For this purpose, we analyze how adolescents took the floor and used it in a journal produced by themselves. As a methodological approach, we use the notion of “speech project” from Charaudeau (1996). We conclude that, when constituted as political subjects, the adolescents involved in the fight against child domestic labor have transformed scene of the CDL, which came to be built also with their experiences, feelings and observations.
Key words: political subjectivity, media, child domestic labor.
