Comunicação da diferença
Abstract
The process of communication relies, partly, on recognition. We can communicate insofar as we identify that we already know and are able to decode. In general, the perspectives based upon the centrality of code as well as the idea of subject-centered communication stipulate this emphasis on recognition. Nevertheless, there is a dimension of otherness in communication, which, tough harder to perceive and analyze, appears to be fundamental in the processes of communication. In order to explore this otherness aspect in communication, in this work we will rely on Gilles Deleuze’s and Michel Tornier’s statements about the presence of the other in social life, as well as Mikhail Bakhtin’s and Valentin Volochinov’s verbal interaction theory, in which the perception of novelty is stressed, as well as Gabriel Tarde’s analysis of conversation as a creative force, among other contributions. We will attempt a few indications for a theory of communication as difference.
Keywords: processes of communication, verbal interaction, difference.
