Abstract
Based on researches on broadcasted video emissions, during the period from 2002 to 2004, this article studies, apart from the different forms of religion permanence in public sphere in Brazil, the strategies involved in religious struggle – Evangelical and Catholic Churches – in the sense of a new configuration for the religious market. Media devices are described as to face the different symptoms they bring within, through demands and seek to cure processes to various illnesses that attack both body and mind of subjects who are exposed to the programs. It is not only about an abstract religion sermon anymore, but one in which, based on “contact economy’, transforms media site into comfortable atmosphere, with attendance and therapy.
