Co-links: proposta de uma nova tecnologia para a escrita coletiva de links multidirecionais
Abstract
This article aims at discussing the concept and theory of the Web link, from a network approach, trying to define and debate its implications, as well as its use. It is developed through issues on “links economy”, recognizing in links a pseudo-monetary value, and on “links politicies”, questioning on who has the power to create links on the Web. Through a theoretical and critical debate, it is set the base for a proposal and discussion of a new technology for the edition of hypertexts, the co-links (http://www.co-link.org). The co-link aims at allowing collective construction of multidirectional links, opening its structure to the participation of the interactants of a site, inviting them to include new trails in documents, thus blurring the border between the author and the reader. Finally, we discuss possible uses for this technology.
