The phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and research on communication
Abstract
The article reflects about the possible contributions of Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology to the research on communication. It describes some key ideas developed by the French philosopher about the experience of the body and its perceptive and expressive possibilities. Finally, the paper discusses their methodological implications for research in the field of communication.
