Mídia televisiva regional e identidade étnica: a RBS e as configurações da identidade italiana na recepção
Abstract
The mediatization problematic of the identities is dealt from the discussion on the data obtained from the Mídia televisiva regional e identidade étnica (Regional television media and ethnic identity) research, in order to think the role of RBS TV in the Italian identity configuration in the reception scope. Was chosen, for this study, the constructions related to the Italian people offered by RBS TV from a two weeks news corpus in the channel’s programming, and analyzed the identities configurations and the appropriations made by viewers of this group, from different generations, on the exploratory research with forty interviewed people living in the city of Bento Gonçalves (Rio Grande do Sul state) data. The results allow us to think that RBS TV participates of the Italian identity construction, exerting a socializating and strengthener action of this identity, been that action understood in its imbrications on the identity senses configured in the reception contexts.
