Abstract

Drawing on an ethnographic investigation of the selfie practice, this article aims to understand the relationships between intimacy and affective experiences produced in everyday photography through different digital platforms. From the accounts presented, it is demonstrated that an affective experience is part of the construction of the selfie as a practice, involving itself with the daily use of platforms, entangled with data, multiple bodies, digital materialities, emotions and different modulations of intimacy.
