The present article is dedicated to reflect on the journalistic practice based on the values manifested by the productive dynamics of Eliane Brum. When evidencing the characteristic traits and movements of her narrative, it aims to analyze the possibility of articulating the concepts of a dialogical encounter and intersubjective understanding to the professional scenario. In this sense, it develops a theoretical study on Buber’s Philosophy, focusing on the principle of dialogue and the word-pairs ‘I-Thou’, in conciliation with the notes of Morin, Sodré and Künsch about the comprehensive method. Then, the conceptual proposal is applied in the interpretative analysis of the narratives of Eliane Brum, gathered in the book “A menina quebrada” (2013), in order to highlight that such interlacings allow to think textual productions located in the sphere of journalistic-literary open to the Reciprocity and the recognition of the Other.
Keywords: theories of journalism, philosophy of dialogue, comprehensive epistemology, Eliane Brum.
