Brazilian cinema: a look at the loneliness and nostalgia of German immigrants
Abstract
This article analyzes two Brazilian films: Cinema, aspirina e urubus (Cinema, aspirin, and vultures) and Heimweh: nostalgia (Heimweh: nostalgia). Its aim is to verify how the two movies capture the process of integration of two different generations of immigrants to Brazilian society, given the fact that one of the films covers the period preceding World War I and, the other, the years of World War II. The study belongs to the field of Communications and Culture.
