The article examines John Searles’ theory of the relation between subjective and objective properties. Such relation is conceived by him as a peculiar way of causal supervenience, which consists of the relation between properties that cannot be identified as types. Since he conceives this supervenience as a mere result of the laws of nature, his ontology of the mind relapses into property dualism.
Key words: Searle, supervenience, property dualism.
